Two Types of Information on an RFID Tag

A Globally Unique ID

Every RFID chip comes with a unique identification number from the factory. No two chips share the same number. This number is fixed and cannot be changed. Brands use it as the digital identity for each garment.

Business Information Written by the Brand

The tag also has writable memory. Brands write basic product details such as style number, color, size, and production batch.

Can the Information Be Modified?

The unique ID cannot be changed. This is the foundation of anti-counterfeit protection.

The basic product details can be written during production. But movement history, such as when a garment left a warehouse or arrived at a store, is stored in the backend system. The tag links to that history through its unique ID.

Why RFID Anti-Counterfeit Is Reliable

First, the unique ID cannot be copied. A counterfeiter cannot manufacture that number.

Second, one brand's readers cannot read another brand's tags. Each system uses its own encryption. Unauthorized devices see nothing useful.
